Poet, Quartez Harris is a teacher at Michael R. White school and the current Poet-in-Residence for Twelve Literary Arts. His collection of poetry in progress "We Made it Home To School Alive" captures the plight of black and brown students in urban public schools coupled with personal accounts of teaching in an urban public school district. Harris will share poems, followed by a panel discussion led by Twelve Literary Arts Executive Director, Daniel Gray-Kontar.
