THE BOOKSHELF

The ThirdSpace Bookshelf is a digital repository of articles, videos, podcasts, and other resources which showcase how current-day racial equity discourse is impacting industries, politics, and hot societal issues.

📖 The Bookshelf is maintained by the ThirdSpace Action Lab team.

HOW DID WE CURATE OUR BOOKSHELF

On May 25, 2020, George Floyd was murdered, sparking nationwide and worldwide protest and unrest. While Black Lives Matter began as a formal movement in 2013, this renewed, collective energy to fight for equity and justice has become known to ThirdSpace Action Lab as The Uprising.

Since then, our team has been tracking everything we read, watch, and listen to pertaining to The Uprising's impact. This effort has taken the form of an internal database, and the materials used to build the ThirdSpace Reading Room derive from that database.
