NuPoint Development CorporatioN‘s 2025 Community Development Plan
Union Miles & Mt. Pleasant Neighborhoods
NuPoint Development Corporation, formerly known as Union Miles Community Development Corporation, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the Union Miles and Mt. Pleasant neighborhoods. Since 1981, NuPoint has worked to support community growth by promoting business development, improving housing, and advocating for neighborhood improvements.
In 2024, NuPoint partnered with ThirdSpace Action Lab (TSAL) and other community-focused firms (including Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative (CUDC), Public Square Development, &Access, and The Legacy Perspective) to create a Unified Neighborhood Plan. This plan will help guide future development and investment in these two distinct Southeast Side neighborhoods.
The survey should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous and will be used solely for community development purposes.

Become a neighborhood ambassador
We believe strong neighborhoods start with the people who live there. That’s why we’re looking for six local residents—three from Mt. Pleasant and three from Union Miles—to help shape the future of their communities. Want to be part of it? Check out the job description and apply!
Send in your applications to evan.green@3rdspaceactionlab.co. Please be sure to include your full name, direct phone number, your home address (must be in Union Miles or Mt. Pleasant), and a resume (helpful, but not required).
Join the NuPoint team and their consultants to learn what a neighborhood plan is, explore the data they've gathered about Union Miles and Mt. Pleasant, share your own experiences and ideas, and take part in interactive activities to help shape the future of your community.
Summer Site Visits Schedule
Join us for four summer 2025 neighborhood site visits as we explore key priority locations being considered for future development. We’ll take a deep dive on-site with informal conversations about each area’s current condition, share stories about what used to be there, and hear your ideas for what could come next. It’s a chance to walk, talk, and shape the future together.
All three neighborhood site visits kick off at noon. Come and bring a neighbor!
The site visits may not be for everyone, and that’s totally okay. If walking or standing isn’t ideal for you right now, hop aboard our Intergenerational Tour on wheels! Designed for grandmas, grandbabies, and everyone in between, this guided bus ride will take you through the NuPoint service area. We’ll share stories from the past and imagine what’s possible for the future—all from the comfort of your seat.
Space is limited to 35 seats for residents, so be sure to reserve your spot. Check back soon for the reservation link.
