DR. SHERRAE MACK, SENIOR CONSULTANT
Dr. Sherrae M. Mack (formerly: Hayes), currently serves as a Senior Consultant with ThirdSpace Action Lab. She completed her Ph.D. in African American and African Studies at Michigan State University (MSU) in May of 2015 coupled with a graduate certification in Urban Education (MSU - College of Education). Dr. Mack's professional experience includes critical approaches to integrative consulting in the area(s) of racial equity, anti-oppression, community engagement, intergenerational change, and community branding - specifically in under-resourced communities.

Karis Tzeng is the Senior Fellow, Content + Research at Third Space Action Lab. She has worked in community development for 10 years, including most recently as Vice President of Planning for MidTown Cleveland, where she led neighborhood planning and place building efforts in the MidTown and AsiaTown neighborhoods.

Monica Copeland is the Project Director for The People’s Practice, a multi-strategy initiative to advance anti-racist practice and policy in the community development sector. Prior to joining ThirdSpace Action Lab, Monica worked on financial inclusion and asset building for low- and moderate-income families with organizations such as Inclusiv, Prosperity Now, New York City Office of Financial Empowerment, Baltimore CASH Campaign, IDA and Asset Building Collaborative of NC, and Self-Help.

Dr. Chavone (Taylor) Nash, serves as the Partnership for Equitable + Resilient Communities Project Director with ThirdSpace Action Lab. She obtained her Doctorate in Education in Organizational Leadership + Policy at the University of Dayton in August of 2023.

Dr. Chavone (Taylor) Nash, serves as the Partnership for Equitable + Resilient Communities Project Director with ThirdSpace Action Lab. She obtained her Doctorate in Education in Organizational Leadership + Policy at the University of Dayton in August of 2023. Dr. Nash has a deep history of work in Community Development, specifically in the Cleveland area, advocating in housing, public education + the legal profession. Through this, her work has focused primarily on historically underserved communities in Northeast Ohio. Dr. Nash is a longtime Cleveland area-native, graduating from Shaw High School (2005) - East Cleveland, OH, University of Akron (2013) with a Master's in Urban Studies + Development, and Alabama A&M University (2012) with a Bachelor's in Political Science.

Jenn Short is the Executive Coordinator at ThirdSpace Action Lab. Prior to joining TSAL, she served as the Content Support Coordinator at Ideastream Public Media and as an Executive Assistant at the Cleveland Institute of Art.

Drawing on a wealth of experience in administrative coordination and creative collaboration, Jenn is passionate about amplifying impactful projects and fostering meaningful change. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, baking, and exploring new restaurants, embracing her love for culinary adventures.

Evan is a Senior Consultant with ThirdSpace Action Lab. Prior to joining TSAL, he built a strong career in higher education, serving as a Dean of Students and a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practitioner. His work focused on intercultural programming, fostering inclusive environments, advancing racial equity initiatives, and developing initiatives that empowered students and communities alike. Evan earned a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, specializing in Black Theology and Black Church Studies, shaping his approach to justice-centered community engagement and development. Evan lives in Cleveland, Ohio with his wife, Kayla Griffin-Green.
